The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority voted Jan. 27 to approve a purchase request to Bridger Valley Electric Association for electrical service and a transformer for the Daggett County Health Business and Community Center in the amount of $49,439. Speaker 1 introduced the item and moved approval; the motion passed by voice vote.
The authority heard that the cost is split into two parts: the transformer itself and a job-specific line item covering labor and materials to install service from the pole to the new transformer. Speaker 3 said the job includes both equipment and the conduit and installation required to bring service to the new unit.
Later in the meeting the clerk’s office noted the purchase order included a sole-source procurement request because Bridger Valley Electric is the only electrical provider in the area. Speaker 1 moved to approve the sole-source designation for the purchase associated with the Health Business and Community Center; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The authority’s action authorizes payment to Bridger Valley Electric so the vendor can schedule work that requires payment up front. The agenda packet lists the purchase as a contingent invoice on the open register. The meeting adjourned at 9:54 a.m.
