Daggett County to apply for $450,000 in pavement-preservation grants; will postpone Dutch John weather station

After discussion of priorities, matching sources (transportation tax, RDA) and costs for night evaluations and surfacing options, Speaker 3 moved to submit the two CIP sheets to Utah Aeronautics and to forego the Dutch John weather-station application at this time. The motion passed by voice vote.
Why it matters: If Utah Aeronautics awards the grants, county staff will need to identify a 10% local match (estimated at roughly $45,000 total for both projects) from transportation-tax revenue and RDA sources. The projects aim to preserve runway surfaces and keep the airports operational.
