The Box Elder City Council on its regular meeting approved a voluntary annexation petition for Woodstock Supply and a package of contracts and equipment purchases, the council said.
The annexation (Resolution 25-06) was described by the planning director as a voluntary petition filed so Woodstock Supply could obtain additional municipal water following a moratorium initiated in 2017. The planning commission recommended approval on Dec. 30, 2024, and the council approved the resolution on a roll-call vote (all Aye).
The council also approved a one-year master services agreement with Frost Solutions LLC for $6,000 covering two solar-powered mini weather stations with cameras and sensors intended to provide road-condition data (ice formation, surface temperatures and visibility) to help public-works crews deploy sanding and plowing.
