Bulverde Spring Branch Angels ask council for help securing space and support for holiday gift program

Becca Adams, vice president of Bulverde Spring Branch Angels and director of philanthropy for the Carlos Alvarez Family Foundation, outlined the group's decade-long volunteer effort to collect and distribute Christmas gifts to families in the Bulverde Spring Branch area. "Last year alone, the lead tree provided 2,400 holiday gifts to over 200 families and nearly 600 children right here in our own community," Adams told the council.
Adams said the program typically transforms a donated storefront or warehouse into a wrapping-and-distribution hub for five weeks in November and December; the group is at "real risk" this year of not having a location and asked council members to keep the program in mind when helping identify space, arranging traffic support for distribution days, or addressing security for stored donations.
Council members thanked the group and invited the organizers to follow up with staff about potential municipal assistance and contacts to secure space.
