Rhonda Zunker, president of the Bulverde Spring Oaks Chamber, briefed the Valverde City Council on community events and business activity.
Zunker said the chamber’s golf tournament is scheduled for next Tuesday and that a community shred-and-trash day will be held Oct. 18 at Bill Brown Elementary School, coinciding with the city’s trash day. She said the chamber will host a DEA drug take-back on Oct. 25 at police headquarters and the Mount County location, and that the Liberty Christmas lighting is set for Nov. 28.
Zunker also listed businesses confirmed for a new strip center near the corridor south of Walmart: New Spine Chiropractic, Jersey Mike’s, Club Pilates, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Broth and Basil, with a detached building for a Dunkin’ location. The chamber said contractors are beginning work on the new strip and that openings are expected in the coming months.
