Colorado Senate lays over two resolutions, clarifies layover dates

The Colorado State Senate on Jan. 20, 2026, voted to lay over two joint resolutions for later consideration. Senator Carson moved to lay over House Joint Resolution 1002 until Jan. 20, 2026; the motion carried by voice vote and the presiding officer announced that HJR 1002 will lay over until Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.
