Scott Thompson, JBC staff, asked the committee to approve a limited supplemental request to move $75,000 in cash funds to provide litigation spending authority in the Department of Law for river‑basin legal work. Thompson said the request is primarily spending authority and depends on CWCB and water projects bill allocations for the litigation fund.
Representative Taggart confirmed the FY25–26 supplemental was limited to $75,000 for the current year; the committee approved the request unanimously. Thompson withheld recommendation on a separate leased‑space adjustment pending a broader presentation next week.
