Andrew Wilkins presented the project details, noting the water main is a 16‑inch extension that will tie into GBRA's existing 24‑inch main and run to a future tank and pump station to provide redundancy and fire‑flow protection. The project is one of three concurrent efforts east of town along Ammon Road and is currently 100% design complete. Wilkins said planned roadway softening by Fair Oaks Ranch required additional design considerations — including casing pipe under the future roadway — and Fair Oaks Ranch has agreed to reimburse the city for the design changes and associated construction costs.
“We have to implement some design considerations into the main extension project, including casing pipe under that future roadway,” Wilkins said, and confirmed that Fair Oaks Ranch has agreed to reimburse the city for these design changes. At the meeting staff clarified the reimbursement figure as approximately $24,002.60. The resolution authorizes additional design work and consolidates electric service to one service point, which staff said would reduce construction costs overall despite the upfront design expense.
Councilmember Bunker moved approval; the motion was seconded and the council approved the resolution (vote reported as positive).
