The North Spencer County School Corporation board approved adopting the Apogee Suite subscription to modernize the district website and add a mobile app.
Supt. explained that the Apogee Suite carries an annual cost of $20,366 and a one-time setup and training fee of $4,650. He said the district currently spends about $10,000 on comparable services, so adopting Apogee represents an incremental annual cost of roughly $10,000 but would add a mobile app and consolidate classroom communication features over time. "This will also replace Bloom's," he said, referring to the current classroom communication product in use.
Trustees voted to approve the subscription; the superintendent and staff said transition will be phased and that the platform is expected to be in use across the district by the 2026–27 school year. No contract text was discussed in detail during the public portion of the meeting beyond the cost figures provided.
