At the January meeting the North Spencer County School Corporation board completed routine reorganization and administrative approvals for 2026.
Trustees conducted roll call and voted to appoint board officers for 2026, including motions to name a president, vice president and secretary for the year. The board also approved appointments for corporation treasurer and deputy treasurer and approved bonding and estimates for treasurer positions.
The board approved its regular meeting schedule (second and fourth Mondays at 6 p.m. at the corporation office) and later approved adjustments to its March and April calendar to allow school visits (March meetings cancelled and March 17 moved to 3:30 p.m.; April meetings moved to April 14 and April 28 at 3:30 p.m.).
The board approved appointment of the district's school attorney (referenced in meeting materials) and approved Dean McCauley to a full term on the Lincoln Heritage Public Library board of trustees, filling a previously partial term.
Motions on these items were moved, seconded and carried without recorded roll-call tallies in the public minutes.
