The Denton City Economic Development Partnership Board approved minutes from its Nov. 25, 2025 meeting and adopted a 2026 meeting schedule that permits cancellation of meetings when no voting items are expected.
Board members moved and seconded both routine items: Rick moved to approve the minutes, Amy seconded; the board voted by voice and the motion carried. The schedule approval (EDP25‑039) was moved and seconded (second by Leah) and also passed on a voice vote.
Board members and staff said the schedule mirrors last year’s calendar but adds a policy to cancel meetings when quorum is unlikely and there are no action items. The change is intended to reduce wasted meetings and increase the likelihood of full attendance when substantive votes are scheduled.
The board did not identify additional administrative items before moving on to the work session.
