Commission approves minutes, consent agenda and grants date‑certain extensions for three plats

At its Jan. 14 meeting the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the Dec. 17, 2025 meeting minutes and the consent agenda, each by 6–0 votes, then considered three plats and granted date‑certain extensions to allow applicants and staff time to resolve outstanding requirements.
Reserves at Brush Creek (FP25‑28): Senior planner Mia Hines said the final plat for approximately 15.437 acres north of Brush Creek Road does not yet meet all criteria for approval; civil engineering plan approvals are contingent on a finalized funding agreement for Brush Creek improvements tied to the Capital Improvement Program. Staff recommended denial but had no objection to an extension. Commissioners approved an extension to 02/11/2026; staff said this would be the fifth extension for the plat.
Hickory Grove final plat (FP25‑38): Hines said the 41.39‑acre Hickory Grove multifamily addition currently does not meet approval criteria; staff recommended denial but supported a date‑certain extension to 02/11/2026. The commission granted the extension (first extension) by a 6–0 vote.
Roselawn Meadows preliminary plat (PP25‑5B): Hines presented the roughly 6.494‑acre preliminary plat for Roselawn Meadows and noted applicants submitted an extension request late in the day. Staff recommended denial at this time but had no objection to extending the review to 02/11/2026 (third extension). Commissioners approved the extension 6–0.
Chair closed the meeting at 7:43 p.m. after staff provided a project‑matrix update and summarized recent City Council actions on related code amendments.
