Emery County travel board backs trail partnerships, proposes county trail-signage crew

Sanpete County has offered an $8,000 supplies match, staff reported, and the office will pursue additional grants (including RTP possibilities for equipment like a side-by-side).
The meeting also highlighted trail partnerships and volunteer recognition. The San Rafael Backcountry Horsemen were announced as winners of a national BLM community engagement award for outstanding volunteer work; staff said the recognition is a high honor and will be highlighted at public lands events next month.
No formal grant award was approved at the working meeting; staff said they will return next month with budgeted numbers and a request for action once grant details and match amounts are clearer.
