District staff presented updates to OE-7 indicators, adding a new 7.6 metric for work overseen by Jeff Sarick’s office and increasing specificity on cybersecurity training under 7.4; staff will correct a placeholder referencing state law and present changes for first reading at the next business meeting.
Mister Peltz, a district staff member, briefed the committee on proposed updates to Operational Expectation 7 (OE-7), which the committee earlier adopted under the consent agenda. He said the update adds a new indicator (7.6) drawn from other districts to track activities in Jeff Sarick’s office and adds more detail to 7.4 on the types of annual cybersecurity training the district expects or requires.
‘‘7.6 is a new… The 2 indicators, they’re specifically for Jeff Sarick’s office,’’ Mister Peltz said, noting he pulled examples from other districts. He also said the cybersecurity section ‘‘got a little more detail on cybersecurity, and the types of training that we offer, or mandate, on an annual basis to be in compliance.’’
A committee member spotted a bracketed placeholder labeled ‘‘state’’ under 7.6 and asked whether that should read ‘‘Wisconsin.’’ Mister Peltz confirmed that was likely a placeholder and that it should specify Wisconsin.
The chair said the updated OE-7 will be presented for first reading at the next business meeting. No substantive objections were raised during the governance committee’s review.
What’s next: Staff will correct the placeholder, finalize the draft indicators, and present OE-7 updates at the next business meeting for formal consideration.
