Mayor Judd Ashman asked Myers to raise his hand and the council applauded. "Thank you very much for serving," the mayor said as members invited Myers to join them for photos.
The council did not discuss alternate nominees or conditions on the appointment during the meeting. The motion and the unanimous vote were recorded as part of the appointments portion of the agenda.
