Pasco County honors employee Lauren Stefanik and names 2025 star award winners

Later in the morning the board read Resolution 26-110, recognizing Pasco County’s 2025 star award winners. The clerk named Gary Kalor as Star Performer of the Year, Justin Ebanks as Star Leader of the Year, and the Public Works Road Rehabilitation MSTU program team as the Star Team of the Year. Commissioners and presenters praised the awardees for cost savings, accreditation work and paving accomplishments; the record cites a reported 116% execution rate and nearly 140 lane miles paved last year as examples of Public Works’ performance.
"He's saved probably close to a $150,000," one commissioner said while acknowledging employees’ efforts to find efficiencies. Another commissioner praised the accreditation leadership that Justin Ebanks provided for Public Works.
The board approved both resolutions by voice vote and invited award recipients to the dais for photos.
