FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky House completed several routine floor actions on Jan. 7 before adjourning until 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026.
The House approved the journal from Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, after a motion from the member identified in the transcript as the member from McCracken. The clerk recorded that 98 members indicated their presence at roll call.
The chamber also adopted House citation number 2, a condolence citation honoring Michael Dean Hilton; the member from McCracken spoke about Hilton's career in state government and his role in a lobbying firm. The chair recorded no objection when the citation was moved for adoption.
Finally, the member from McCracken moved that the House stand adjourned until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026; the chair recorded no objection and the House was recessed to that time. The transcript does not include any recorded roll-call vote tallies for these actions.
