Gilpin County adopts consent agenda; appoints Jim Reid to Jefferson Center board

Gilpin County commissioners adopted the consent agenda by unanimous vote on April 22. Items on the consent calendar included departmental quarterly reports for 2025, resolution 25-059 authorizing additional expenditures for special counsel, execution of a Church Ditch water-rights lease (Resolution 25-048), approval of planning commission appointments (Resolution 25-055) and minutes from prior BOCC meetings.
Separately, the board approved Resolution 25-054 recommending Jim Reid to serve on the Jefferson Center board of directors, noting the appointment is contingent upon Clear Creek Countys concurrent approval. The Jefferson Center board includes representatives from Gilpin, Clear Creek and Jefferson counties; commissioners said they had interviewed the candidate and shared the interview materials with fellow commissioners in advance of the vote.
The consent motion passed 3-0 and the chair asked staff to provide the corrected resolution for signatures.
