Gilpin County names nine members to Rudolph Ranch Homestead working group

The Gilpin County Board of Commissioners voted to accept nine members to the Rudolph Ranch Homestead Working Group and amended the draft resolution to remove two alternates.
Community Engagement Officer Melanie Bleier summarized the working group’s purpose: after the county’s recent purchase of the Rudolph Ranch Homestead for water rights, the group will advise on additional uses and stewardship. The board reviewed applicants (17 applications for nine seats) and accepted a slate of nominees including local residents and subject-area experts: Harv Mastelier and Heather Newman (local residents), Marie Mournes (historic preservation), Jennifer Cook (natural resources), Jess Tutang (economic development), Gabrielle Chisholm (outdoor recreation), Bob Young (agriculture/ranching), Tim Woodward (wildlife expert, Colorado Parks and Wildlife), and Ryan Keenan (county facilities representative).
Commissioners removed language adding two alternates from the resolution and approved the amended Resolution 25-051 3–0. Staff recommended—verbally—that the county facilities representative, Ryan Keenan, serve as the group’s chair to provide institutional continuity; the board left chair selection to the working group but agreed the recommendation would be communicated.
Staff will post the list of appointees and send thank-you letters to applicants.
