Saratoga County’s Public Safety Committee voted Feb. 6 to authorize a one-year contract with Wicked Smart LLC of Waterbury, N.Y., to supply uniforms and related equipment to the county sheriff’s office, with two optional one-year extensions.
Sheriff Jeff Brown told the committee the contract was the product of a competitive bid process and set a term from Jan. 20, 2026, through Jan. 19, 2027, with options for two additional one-year extensions "upon written agreement with both parties." The resolution was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The sheriff described the award as routine procurement to ensure uniform supply and related gear for deputies. Committee discussion did not include a line-item cost in the meeting transcript; no dollar amount was specified during the presentation. The committee recorded vocal "Aye" votes and the motion carried."
"The contract will commence Jan. 20, 2026, and runs one year with options," Jeff Brown said during his presentation.
The committee did not provide a roll-call vote or show a documented total cost in the meeting record. The chairman will execute the contract following committee approval.
