The Springdale Planning Commission convened at 5:00 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Canyon Community Center. Chair Tom Kinston opened the meeting and read the roll call. Staff announced that town clerk Aaron Emerson will leave in late November and that Robin Romero was appointed to begin Nov. 29; account manager Rick Wixom will leave in February and recruitment will follow.
Commissioner Jennifer McCullough moved to approve the agenda; Paul Zimmerman seconded and the motion passed with aye votes recorded from members who answered during roll call. Later the commission approved the consent agenda on a motion by Paul and second by Jennifer, and adjourned following a motion by Jennifer and second by Paul.
The meeting included extended discussion of definitions for noncompliant buildings and a separate discussion on commercial noncompliance and banner-permit revisions. Staff will return with scenario examples, a ranked inventory of noncompliant commercial properties and revised banner-permit language for future public hearings.
