Owner Michael Sadi described the business as a 30‑year retail humidor with a small lounge component. He told the board the store occupies about 6,490 square feet and the lounge is approximately 900 square feet; he said the patio is roughly 12 feet by 45 feet and that the store has installed smoke‑control systems and landscaping to buffer the seating area.
Board members asked several questions about hours, nearby uses and odor. Staff and the applicant discussed hours for beverage service; the applicant stated store hours as 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and cited lounge opening times that vary in testimony, and the board approved a motion to condition approval so that outdoor alcohol service hours match the business’s alcohol beverage license.
The motion passed on a roll‑call vote of the board members present. The approval includes the staff‑recommended conditions and the requirement that outdoor seating use plastic glassware and comply with the village’s operational limits.
The applicant thanked the board and said he will coordinate with staff on the final permit conditions.
