Council member Natasha Harper Madison introduced and read a proclamation recognizing the So Family Foundation’s work in Austin during the Jan. 2, 2026 meeting.
"The So Family Foundation is a trusted one‑stop community organization that responds to some of our city's most urgent and most interconnected challenges," Madison said, listing services including homelessness prevention, housing navigation, mental‑health and emotional‑wellness support, meal services and refugee assistance.
A representative of the So Family Foundation accepted the proclamation on the organization’s behalf, thanked council members and staff, and framed the ceremony as recognition for volunteers, staff and the underserved communities the foundation serves.
Madison formally proclaimed 01/02/2026 in honor of the So Family Foundation and invited photos to close the presentation.
