The joint conference committee took up House Bill 806 (HD1/SD1) on April 23, 2025 and reported agreement on a conference draft (CD1) that includes appropriations and a WAM release.
Representative Todd, the House manager on the item, read CD1’s appropriations as including $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2026: $2,000,000 for a Department of Law Enforcement sting lab and $500,000 for sting operations, with an additional $500,000 in fiscal year 2027 for continued sting operations. “The CD 1 includes appropriations for fiscal years ’26 of $2,500,000, 2,000,000 for the sting the lab for DLE, and 500,000 for the sting operations, and 500,000 in fiscal year 27 for sting operations as well,” Representative Todd said while taking the roll.
The committee then took an on-record vote for the House and asked the Senate to take its vote. On the House roll call presented in the transcript, Representatives Todd, Lee and Garrett registered affirmative responses on the record; the Senate roll call in the transcript records at least two affirmative responses and one excused senator. The committee recorded the WAM release and adjourned.
Action recorded: adoption of the CD1 language for HB806 and a WAM release memo to proceed to Ways and Means/Finance consideration; the transcript does not include a complete roll-call tally for every member.
