Jason Wardrip said he represents the Colorado Building and Construction Trades Council and emphasized apprenticeship pathways, safety standards and employer partnerships. Howard Auge spoke about his background overseeing commercial driver’s license testing and compliance and said he looks forward to protecting students and supporting training quality.
Senator Marchman moved to send the nominations to the full Senate with a favorable recommendation. The committee took a roll-call vote and approved both nominees unanimously; sponsors asked to place the appointments on the consent calendar for expedited consideration by the full Senate.
The nominations will proceed to the full Senate for final confirmation.
