Sergeant Feld was singled out for organizing and ensuring accurate submission of state-mandated continuing professional training hours, work the chief said "safeguard[s] our officers' ability to serve our community." The awards presentation acknowledged both on-duty achievements and behind-the-scenes contributions such as evidence custody, administration and recruitment efforts.
The council offered congratulations; several award recipients were unable to attend and will receive recognitions directly.
