Freddy's donates $200 to mayor's fund; council honors retiring Captain Steve Wilson

"On behalf of Freddy's restaurant, we have a check here for the mayor's fund for $200," said Jeff Pickeron, representing Freddy's. Mayor William Neier thanked the restaurant and encouraged residents to patronize the business.
Mayor Neier read a proclamation recognizing Captain Steven D. Wilson on the occasion of his retirement and presented an exemplary service award noting over 29 years of service with the Harrison Police Department. Retired Captain Wilson spoke to the council and said he had "taken a lot of pride in the fact that I worked for this city" and thanked mayors, police chiefs and council members for their support during his career.
The council expressed appreciation for Wilson's service and congratulated him on his retirement. No binding fiscal action accompanied the recognition beyond the charitable donation presented to the mayor's fund.
