The sponsor emphasized the bill does not expand Medicaid benefits or change eligibility but instead enables pharmacists to practice at the top of their license.
During the roll call a member (Senator from Campbell) explained his aye vote, praising pharmacists' education and ability to help families navigate medication issues. The clerk announced 37 yea votes, no nays, and Senate Bill 38 was passed.
