County staff told commissioners that $800,000 in ARPA/revenue-replacement funds had been set aside for the rail-trail bridge project.
After questions about phasing and whether the grant award explicitly tied funds to multiple phases, Gina (who said she originally put the grant in) confirmed the award covered the West Fork Bridge (and a Limestone bridge referenced earlier) and that the DOH would funnel congressional spending funds through the department. Commissioners, satisfied with the protections and funding plan, approved the contract and the $288,800 payment.
Next steps: staff will execute the contract and coordinate required addenda if the total project cost exceeds the current agreement.
