Elkhart County updates health department fee schedule to add CPR, AED and dental fees

He said the department tried to align fees with actual operating costs and that "some of the fees actually went down."
The ordinance revises the health department's list of billable services; the board approved the measure on a unanimous voice vote during the meeting. The ordinance was introduced as an amendment to Chapter 41 of the Elkhart County Code.
County officials said the update is intended to cover increased operating expenses while avoiding unnecessary burdens on taxpayers. No public comment about the fee changes was recorded on the transcript.
The ordinance takes effect as recorded in the meeting proceedings, with county staff directed to implement the revised fee schedule and update billing procedures as needed.
