Doug Martin, a city staff member who presented the item to the council, said the applicant is proposing a new building façade, patio, new windows and doors, kitchen equipment upgrades and other work with total renovation costs of about $1,200,000. Nico told the council the kitchen alone will likely need “$400 to $500,000” of work and said the firm plans to keep interior capacity at about 100 to avoid sprinkler-triggered upgrades.
