Board approves consent agenda and a package of contracts, grants and calendar items

At its meeting the Central CUSD 301 Board of Education approved a series of consent and action items by roll call.

Items approved included the consent agenda (minutes from Dec. 15, treasurer’s reports, payment of bills and personnel report), veterinary affiliation agreements with Bethany Animal Hospital and Randall Road Animal Hospital, authorization to submit the 2026 school maintenance project grant, updated world language graduation requirements, authorization to issue a competitive RFP for natural gas service and execute an agreement within approved parameters, a donation to the Central High School activity account, and updated graduation dates in the Northern Illinois University (NIU) graduation contract.

Administrators noted that the world language requirement will affect roughly 30% of students who currently do not meet the new standard and that approximately 70% already meet it. The maintenance grant cannot be submitted until the board votes to authorize submission; the board approved that authorization.

All motions were moved, seconded and recorded as passed on roll call during the meeting. Specific individual vote-by‑name tallies in the transcript appear as roll‑call confirmations of "Yes" for members present; the board did not discuss or record any dissenting roll‑call votes for these items during the meeting.
