CHSD 94 board approves consent agenda, policies, contracts and spring trip

The Community High School District 94 Board of Education voted unanimously on a series of routine business items at its January regular meeting, approving the consent agenda, policy updates, contract recommendations and a student travel request.

The board approved the consent agenda — covering minutes, financials, reports, SOPPA approvals and donations over $500 — by roll call without opposition. Board members then gave final approval to the Press Plus Issue 120 policy package after a second reading, during which members noted a small number of formatting and substitute-teacher contract clarifications. The board also approved the procedures for behavioral interventions as presented.

On contracts, the board approved a list of vendor agreements including Pearson instructional software, following a motion and unanimous roll call. The World Languages Department’s proposed spring break trip to Soria, Spain, scheduled March 24–April 5, 2027, was approved after a motion and unanimous vote. The personnel report was similarly approved by roll call.

Before recessing to closed session at 7:46 p.m. for collective bargaining matters, the board recorded formal roll-call results showing all present voting 'Aye.' No actions were announced to follow the closed session.
