Rio Rancho board honors Cleveland High boys cross country team for state title

Todd Rasch, the district's executive director for athletics, and head coach Kenny Henry introduced members of the championship team and highlighted individual performances, including a state champion and multiple all-state finishers. Rasch and Henry emphasized the team's combination of athletic improvement and academic success.
Coach Henry praised the athletes'work over the season and singled out several underclassmen and seniors who exceeded expectations. Board members offered congratulations and noted the students'academic standings alongside their athletic accomplishments.
The board took no formal vote on the commendation beyond recognizing the team and inviting them for photos with the board.
