Trustees approved the agenda and consent calendar, accepted first readings of several policies, adopted a resolution declaring February 'Make Kindness Contagious Month,' and approved HR items including a work-year increase and a new specialized student support clinician position.
At the Jan. 21 meeting the Anaheim Elementary School District board approved routine business items and several personnel-related recommendations.
After roll call the board voted to adopt the meeting agenda and later approved the consent calendar in a single motion.
The board received for first reading proposed revisions to board policies (BB 9320 meeting notices; AR 34040 inventories; AR 350012 equipment) and later adopted Resolution 2025–26/33 declaring February 'Make Kindness Contagious Month' following brief remarks in favor of the initiative.
In human-resources action the board approved an increase in the work year for leadership assistant positions from 202 to 205 workdays effective July 1, 2026, and approved a new certificated job description and recruitment for a specialized student support clinician to be placed on range 11 of the certificated management salary schedule effective Jan. 22, 2026. Assistant Superintendent Jesus Chavarria said moving contracted clinician services in-house is expected to be funded through recouped CYBHI funds; he referenced a current-year estimate of $700,000 to $1,000,000 and a long-term recoupment goal of $4,000,000.
Where motions and votes were recorded in the public record, actions passed by voice vote with ayes called; the meeting transcript does not record a roll-call tally for each motion.
