City staff told the board that several items listed for the Jan. 13 agenda will be moved or scheduled for the Feb. 10 regular meeting, including a joint rezoning and annexation public hearing to streamline public notice and reduce confusion.
Staff recommended accepting the city clerk's statement of sufficiency for the annexation request filed by JSW Partners for "85 plus or minus acres" on the outer loop backing up to Horner Siding Road, and called for a Feb. 10 public hearing on that annexation. Staff also recommended calling a Feb. 10 public hearing to receive citizen input on proposed revisions to the system development fee structure.
On third reading or consideration items staff listed recommendations for the board to consider adopting a vacant building ordinance and to adopt the 2024 International Property Maintenance Code ordinance (noted in the transcript as the "2020 '4" International Property Maintenance Code). Staff also presented an ordinance to expand the city's social district and a proposed food and beverage tax resolution for consideration.
Staff said there will be a discussion item on the public safety building at the upcoming meeting, followed by the consent agenda. No final votes on the listed ordinances or the annexation were taken at this meeting; the board scheduled hearings and asked staff to prepare materials for the Feb. 10 meeting.
At the meeting's close Mayor Pro Tem Tim John Toby moved to adjourn and the motion was seconded; the meeting adjourned without further action.
