Oxford City Council used its agenda meeting on Feb. 3 to schedule a set of public hearings and ordinance consideration related to land use and community development.
Council announced a continued citizen-input hearing on a conditional rezoning request by Northpointe Development for about 85 acres on the outer loop backing to Horner(s) Landing Road, seeking a change from RA (residential agriculture) to GR-5C-D. The council also scheduled hearings on two separate noncontiguous annexation requests — each for about 85 acres on the outer loop and identified as properties owned by JSW Partners — so those properties can be connected to city utilities.
In addition, council set a public hearing to consider requesting additional funds under CDBG 21-C-4021 to rehabilitate two more homes, and it announced a public hearing and a follow-up agenda item to consider revisions to the system development fee structure ordinance. The items were described for the public record; no votes on those hearings or ordinances were taken at this meeting.
