Board approves PUD amendment to allow additional signage at Plymouth Place campus

The Village of La Grange Park board unanimously approved an ordinance granting exceptions to the Plymouth Place planned unit development at 315 North LaGrange Road to allow additional on‑site signage and campus wayfinding.
Trustee Zora introduced the PUD amendment, noting the campus is a continuing‑care retirement facility developed under prior PUD approvals and that the new signage aims to reduce confusion for deliveries, residents and emergency vehicles. She told the board the planning and zoning commission held a public hearing on Dec. 16 and recommended approval by a 5–0 vote; staff concurred with that recommendation.
"They need the wayfinding,” Trustee Zora said, adding that the signage "fits the character of the site and helps guide the residents, guests, and more importantly, the emergency vehicles." No members offered substantive objections. The board moved, seconded and approved the ordinance by unanimous roll call.
The ordinance references case number 25‑0025 and authorizes the additional PUD exceptions described in the planning packet; specific sign dimensions and conditions were presented to the planning and zoning commission and are included in the hearing materials.
