Greenwood board approves package of park contracts, sponsorships and maintenance agreements

Several sponsorship agreements for the summer and sports-park seasons were approved: a $5,000 sponsorship with Franciscan Alliance for the summer concert series; a multi‑season corporate partnership described in the record as 'Nachi America' totaling $16,000 (four seasons at $4,000 each, transcript spelling inconsistent); and a $1,000 Ryan Homes souvenir-cup sponsorship for Spring/Sports Park events. Staff said sponsorships help offset event costs and support marketing.
Maintenance and service contracts approved included asphalt-pathway repairs and marking at Greenwood Community Center and University Park (staff described crack sealing, seal coating and markings and said some physical repair work will be subcontracted); a $33,505 fertilization and turf-management agreement for Greenwood Sports Park with MG Landscaping & Irrigation; and a specialized restoration services agreement with EcoLogic to maintain bioswales, rain gardens and other stormwater features. The EcoLogic contract total was discussed in the meeting transcript with two inconsistent figures recorded (one reference to $60,238 and another to $66,238); staff indicated those amounts were itemized by site and that the contractor will perform targeted restoration and washout repairs.
The board also approved contractor equipment and staffing services for the 2026 festival (sound and lighting) and several facility-use agreements for recurring events. During discussion staff advised event organizers to ensure drone operators are appropriately licensed and aware of jurisdictional limits for flying over trails and parking areas.
Board members moved, seconded and approved each item by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript. Staff said most agreements are funded within the department’s operating or non-operating budgets and through event partnerships.
