The Adams County board approved a 2025 USDA EPHIS wildlife-damage claim totaling $1,094.59 during its meeting. Quinn Anish of Wildlife Services presented the claim and asked the board to approve it.
"You can see the total amount is $1,094.59," Anish said while describing the single Adams County claim and asking for board approval. A motion to approve the claim was made by Supervisor Stanlstedt and seconded by Supervisor Kabarski; the board approved the claim by voice vote.
Anish also provided a breakdown of 2025 enrollments in the county: 19 other enrollments overall, 12 deer enrollments that were Act 82 ag-tag permittees and therefore not eligible for the damage claim program, zero goose enrollments, zero turkey enrollments, three bear enrollments tied to the apiary program and four wolf enrollments. Anish told the board there were no hunter-access issues with the approved claim and that the claimant met harvest objectives associated with their deer tags.
The approval was a routine procedural vote that the board carried by voice. No amendments or follow-up actions were recorded on the claim during the meeting.
