The Box Elder City Council voted to approve a resolution creating Tax Increment Finance District No. 5, which staff said will be used to fund design and construction of Cheyenne Boulevard. Finance Officer Renee Baker told the council the district was originally labeled “Alpha Omega” because it encompasses the Alpha Omega subdivision, but the city will retain the tax increment and rename it “Cheyenne Boulevard — City TIF No. 5.”
