After returning from an executive session held under SDCL 1-25-2, the Box Elder City Council took two personnel actions.
Councilmember Davis moved to remove the interim designation from Doug Curry and make him the full-time permanent city administrator for the City of Box Elder; the motion was seconded and passed. Councilmember Mike Knight was recorded on the public record as not having participated in the executive session about that item and did not participate in deliberations; roll-call shows Knight abstaining on the appointment vote.
The mayor then moved to remove the interim designation and appoint Renee Baker as City of Box Elder finance officer; the motion by Knight and second by Schubert passed on roll call.
No executive-session content was disclosed during open session beyond the formal motions and the record that Knight had not participated in the executive session for the administrator item.
