During the visitor comment portion of the June 26 meeting, property owner and resident Bill Lesherroeder raised a long-standing nuisance problem involving an overflowing dumpster near his property.
Lesherroeder told the court he contacted Republic (the county’s waste hauler) to confirm ownership and account status; Republic representatives told him they would empty and clean the dumpster on the coming Monday and would coordinate with the property owner and county staff to either place the dumpster on a regular pickup schedule or remove it. The county attorney has lodged formal complaints related to the nuisance, and the clerk said the county would continue to work with Republic and the property owner to find a longer-term remedy.
Lesherroeder thanked county staff for following up; court members acknowledged the update and noted they expected to see continued progress by the end of the month.
