Lyon County Fiscal Court completed the second and final reading of the annual budget ordinance on June 26 and approved it by voice vote.
During the reading in summary form the clerk listed revenues and appropriations for the county’s principal funds: the general fund’s revenues and appropriations were read as $5,594,478; the road fund was listed at $1,517,800; the jail fund at $457,130; ARPA funds at $536,000; opioid-related funds at $152,000; and other special funds and carryovers were itemized. The clerk indicated that a complete copy of the ordinance is available in the office of the Lyon County Judge Executive during normal business hours.
Following the reading, a motion and second were recorded and the ordinance passed by voice vote; no roll-call tally appears in the transcript excerpt. The clerk instructed that related appropriations and interfund transfers (including a $75,000 interfund transfer to the jail fund discussed later in the meeting) would be documented on the next agenda for formalization.
Court members also reviewed the employee salary schedule for fiscal year 2025–26 and approved it 'as printed' by motion and voice vote.
Copies of the adopted budget ordinance and the employee salary schedule are available through the Judge Executive’s office for public inspection.
