Board approves move to SMART Finance system and Infinite Campus student system

Heidi (business/finance staff) said district office staff evaluated vendors, received references from other districts and met with Region 1 representatives; the team expects the migration to begin with data extraction from Skyward and import into SMART and Infinite Campus, with a July 1 effective date for some changes. Presenters said costs are comparable or likely lower under SMART because Region 1’s platform includes a broader set of services; staff noted references and peer-district experience informed the recommendation. The board moved, seconded and approved the action by voice vote.
