The North Penn School District Board of Directors held elections for board leadership and approved an appointment to a joint operating committee during its meeting.
Board members opened nominations for a temporary president and then for one-year officer terms. A motion to nominate Jonathan Gossa for temporary president was made and carried. For the one-year presidency the transcript records a nomination of "Mrs. McPhertray," and the board voted unanimously to approve the nomination; immediately afterward the transcript records the gavel being handed to "President McMurture." The transcript records Julianne Grama as the board nd the meeting confirmed her election as vice president after nominations were closed and members voted in favor.
The board also reappointed Mr. Resch to the district's joint operating committee; the chair called for a vote and congratulated Mr. Resch after members indicated no opposition.
Dr. Bauer, among others, praised outgoing officers and the leadership team for service during the pandemic and for work on governance and transparency, noting the district serves about 13,000 students. "It has truly been a pleasure working closest with Mrs. Stowell and Mr. Fusco," Dr. Bauer said in remarks thanking departing leaders.
The meeting packet included the 2025 board committee assignments; the only recorded changes reflected the newly elected president and vice president and a shift in committee chairs. With no further items, the board moved to adjourn.
Next steps: the board will implement committee membership changes and continue committee-level review of items before they reach the full board.
