Chief of Staff Jenna Moon told the committee, "We will be in Austin for our February 5 board meeting," and outlined the open‑session agenda. Moon said the CEO report will include K–2 reading goals, STAR math and reading goals, the percentage of students scoring "a 21 plus on the ACT and 10 time plus on the SAT" as stated in the transcript, average daily attendance and staff retention, and a review of the full‑board scorecard. "We will be reviewing our full board scorecard," she said.
Moon also previewed financial and compliance items: a financial report by Sun, required reporting to the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) with a presentation from the chief schools officer on how TAPR determinations were made, and a mid‑year academic deep dive from Rona. She said the committee would also hear a TEEA intruder‑detection audit and that any findings would be shared in open session if present.
The committee unanimously approved the minutes of the Nov. 4, 2025 executive committee meeting after Jean Austin moved the motion and Ethan Phillips seconded. The chair called for objections, and, hearing none, the motion passed.
At 5:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to executive session under the Texas Government Code provisions cited in the record to consult with legal counsel and deliberate personnel matters. The chair identified pending litigation, Joy Wilson v Kipp Texas Inc (cause number 324‑cv‑02578‑K, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division), among the subjects for discussion. The committee returned to open session at 6:10 p.m. and adjourned.
The full board is scheduled to meet Feb. 5 in Austin, where the items previewed at this executive committee meeting will be considered in open session and the consent agenda will be taken up by the board.
