The San Fernando City Council convened at 5:01 p.m. for a special meeting and approved the meeting agenda by voice vote with no objections, Mayor Joe Fajardo said.
Mayor Joe Fajardo opened the session, calling the special meeting to order and noting there were no teleconferencing requests. At roll call, Council member Patty Lopez, Council member Mary Salodio, Council member Mary Mendoza and Vice Mayor Victoria Garcia each answered present; Mayor Joe Fajardo also acknowledged he was present.
"With that said, there are no teleconferencing requests, so I will move to approve the special meeting agenda," Mayor Joe Fajardo said, and an unidentified staff member seconded the motion. When asked if there were any objections, the council voiced none and "the motion carries," the mayor stated.
Council business then moved to a closed session. Staff told the council there were no public statements submitted for the closed session. The mayor instructed the record to reflect that no one was in the audience other than staff, and the council recessed into closed session.
No formal votes with individual tallies were recorded in the public portion of the meeting; the agenda was approved by voice with no objections. The council took no further public actions before recessing to closed session.
