Spanish Fork City Council approved two reappointments to the Recreation, Arts and Parks (RAP) Program Committee and approved the evening’s consent agenda.
Parks & Recreation Director Dale Robinson presented two reappointment candidates — Deidre Gunnels and Haley Hughes — and described the committee’s role in recommending RAP tax allocations and grant awards. Robinson said the RAP program currently generates about $1.3 million annually and that approximately 65% of the program’s use is by nonresidents. Councilman Took moved to reappoint Gunnels and Hughes; Councilman Carden seconded. The council approved the reappointments by roll call.
Earlier in the meeting, the council approved consent items A through D on a single motion and voice vote.
