Resident urges consistency in Kane County District 9 appointment process, cites statutes

Anderson also said he had discussed the matter with board members and the state’s attorney and referenced specific statutory sections when questioning process consistency: “I’ve gone round and round with 10 Illinois CS 5 dash 25 dash 6 … I think it goes even deeper to 25 dash 11.”
Anderson asked the committee to provide clarity and consistency across both parties about the appointment procedure. The committee acknowledged his comment but no substantive response or statutory interpretation appears in the open-session record.
The public comment is part of the record; the committee later proceeded to closed-session interviews and returned with a unanimous ranking. Anderson’s statements about statutory requirements and his preferred candidate were recorded but not resolved during the meeting.
